abdominal surgery

this wee doll here is mine, well it was mine until marta spied it the other day. and now they never leave each others side. they lounge around in the beanbag together, go for drives in the car together and snuggle up in bed together. hum as marta keeps reminding me, sharing is fun... however dolly, not used to so much affection burst out of her tummy stitching. so minor surgery was required and i must say what i thought would be a simple process ended up being a little wackier than i ever imagined. there i was stitching, with marta almost sitting in my lap breathing heavily and asking if i was being careful...not once but a few times, by now even i was feeling a little concerned for dollys welfare... marta encouraged dolly not to wriggle and said well done to both me and dolly as she race off to get the scissors to trim the thread. hum the places you go

here is also a pair of overalls i stitched a few months ago and finally put the buttons on last week.....i think she looks quite dapper.

oh my, doll surgery is quite a tense thing, I'm sure. Don't surgeons usually not let the family members be bedside during the operation!! ha.
I LOVE those overalls. love them. they look so comfy. is it your own pattern? they are fantastic.

Beautiful doll, a real treasure. I had a similar experience when my old teddy's leg fell off.

Saw one of your elephants in at CraftVic on the weekend and found myself exclaiming "Oohh, I know who this is!". Of course I don't, really, but I felt like I did. :)
