quilt cover

well now that the toys are finished im back to that funny old chore of dressing my children. the world of clothes and children is a bit of a nightmare, so instead ive chosen to to use the von trap family from 'the sound of music' as my role models. remember the scene when the children go out for the day dressed in outfits made from curtains well let me say no more, thanks for the ideas maria...

martas new frock is made from an 80s sesame street quilt cover. marta has never seen sesame street but i tell you she knows the name of each character on her frock... a sniff of popular culture (well from the 80s atleast)

buckets of water instead of rain

this wee bunch of bunnies are off to happy homes, to be dragged along, sucked on and to be squeezed to death. ive had a run of private comissions, none of these bunnies are off to a store nope they are straight into the arms of kids....

i must say my empathy for those that have to sit on machines everday to earn a wage has doubled...

with the bunnies packaged up i headed for the garden, yep its our no dig garden and better still it took only 2 hrs to put together. ive since planted out the bed and can now sit back with cups of tea and watch. im actually not sitting at all im busy dividing up all the native grasses and replanting. evenings are once again spent bucketing out the bath water onto the garden....
